Kita-Kaiseki
David Israelow, the 2018 Washoku World Challenge Champion, was asked to cook and coordinate a dinner for the officials following the 2019 NYC qualifying round. We coordinated a special dinner for the judges, participants and ministry officials visiting NYC.
To prepare for the meal, he went fishing, farmed and foraged for as many ingredients as they could. The entire process was documented and screened the footage during the dinner. It was an attempt to bridge the gap between food on a plate, where it comes from and how it happens.
